Inspect the new element for any damage or defects before installation. The element should be straight with no visible breaks, gaps, or damage.

Verify the terminals are straight and undamaged. Bent or damaged terminals will not accept wire connectors properly.

Position the new element at the rear of the oven cavity, aligning the element terminals with the holes in the rear wall.

Insert the element terminals through the holes in the rear wall, pushing the element backward until the mounting bracket contacts the rear wall.

Verify the mounting bracket is flush against the rear wall and the mounting holes align with the screw holes in the wall.

Install the mounting screws through the mounting bracket and into the rear wall. Tighten firmly but not over-tightening (which can crack the bracket or strip threads).

Verify the element is securely mounted and does not wobble or shift when gently pressed.

Verify the element does not contact the oven floor or side walls at any point. There should be clearance between the element and all oven surfaces.

Reconnect the wire connectors to the element terminals, matching the labels you applied earlier. Push the connectors firmly onto the terminals until they're fully seated.

Verify all connections are secure by gently tugging on each wire. None should pull loose.
